Today, I purchased the Nero 2016 Platinum Upgrade and tried to install it on my Windows 10 machine without success; The following files needs to be installed before Nero 2016 Platinum can be installed but the process never gets beyond the first file installation.

See below for a view of my problems with this program:

RequirementNero 2016 requires the following items to be installed on your computer. Click Install to begin installing these requirements:

Pending Direct 3dD 10.1 Extensions 9.29.952.3111 (d3dcsx)

Pending Reboot Validator

Note: Then I press Install and the systems starts installing the files above in this order; however, it aborts at this point and says the first file has failed to install and that the install program will close.

Note: Nero 2015 Platinum and previous installations of the program have been installed and run on my Windows 7 machines previously (never installed it on Windows 81). I cannot recall what I did to get it to work previously but it did successfully run.

Apparently Nero Platinum has been having this problem with Nero 2016 Platinum and has offered several options to fix things; however, I have not been able to use any of their fixes successfully; I am trying to find out a quick solution to dealing with the files above and being able to install the program; at this point, Nero support does not appear to be much elp along these lines; and I am hoping someone on this list can help me before I become too frustrated and ask Nero.Com for my money back..

Well you can download and install the directx runtime.
that should install missing directx components.
the redists, there is a page for visual c runtimes but I forget.
If no one comes up with a solution I'll upload a major large file pack with all my runtimes I have here vc, vb dotnet and dx.
The easiest way is to search for the actual files and get em yourself.

Ok.
here is a file its 220mb should take about an hour to upload but maybe try in a couple hours.

in the visual c libs folder.
run all the files, run the files 2005 2008 2010 2012 then run 2005 sp 1 2008 sp1 2010 sp1
2012 sp1
2013
2013 sp1
2015.
run all the files with out sp1 or sp anything in them first then install the sp files service packs.
in the directx folder run dxsetup hit alt n 3 times and alt f when its done.
That should install all those files externally.
Note! after running the runtimes, do a windowsupdate as there are updates for some of these.
I am sure there is a way to run this nicely.
The only other way is to as I said use the directx installer and then use ninite to find the runtimes and install them that way but I have never used that method.
